Grace Ambassadors World Outreach Ministry (GAWOM)
Grace Ambassadors World Outreach Ministry (GAWOM) is a Calgary-based, faith-rooted registered charity dedicated to advancing dignity, equity, and opportunity for everyone in our community. Guided by Christian values of compassion, justice, and radical inclusion, we walk alongside newcomers, immigrants, and refugees from all over the world as they build their lives in Canada.
We exist to bridge the gap between spiritual formation and practical social support, ensuring people are nurtured spiritually and empowered socially, emotionally, and economically. Rooted in Christian values of love, dignity, and service, we operate as a hub for worship, education, and compassionate outreach.
We are deeply committed to removing barriers to integration and fostering a welcoming environment for diverse families. By building strong cross-cultural partnerships with local non-profits, schools, and civic organizations, we provide a holistic network of care. Our support ranges from language navigation and integration assistance to mental health resources, family and parenting support, and basic-needs distribution for economically disadvantaged individuals, seniors, and vulnerable women.
Ultimately, our goal is to promote cross-cultural understanding and contribute to a more equitable, connected Calgary where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

To effectively meet the diverse spiritual, social, and developmental needs of our community, GAWOM operates through three dedicated branches:
Grace Ambassadors Christian Center
The heart of our faith community, providing inclusive Christian worship, prayer, and spiritual formation.
Proxima Generation Youth Initiative
Dedicated to the mentorship, leadership development, and practical empowerment of our next generation, ensuring youth have the tools to navigate school, life, and their future careers.
Eleos Compassion Outreach & Community Services
Focused on active community care, delivering accessible social services, holistic family support, and immediate relief to those facing adversity.

Our Heritage & Roots
Origin in Nigeria
Our journey began with high school outreach programs and youth discipleship initiatives. We grew into university spaces, building a strong foundation of community building and spiritual development that continues to guide us today.

We're carrying the same heartbeat and mission to Calgary, transitioning to a church-based model while maintaining continuity of our DNA with a new strategy. We're adapting to the Canadian context while preserving our core values.
